A&K is delighted to announce its strengthening of a partnership with Strathmore University Law School, following the signing of a 10-year memorandum of understanding (MOU). The MOU highlights and outlines a framework for both organizations to collaborate on improving legal education and excellence in Kenya and across Africa by working closely together on areas of mutual interest in relation to advancing the sharing of knowledge, resources and expertise and providing law students with the practical and analytical skills needed to nurture exemplary practitioners in the legal field.
A&K believes that Strathmore Law School is one of region’s most innovative and high-quality law schools and is excited at the opportunity to contribute towards improving the education of its law students. Within the framework of the MOU, the firm through its CSR and Pro Bono department further donated KES 15 million towards the building of a new ultra-modern law school library. Part of the partnership will see A&K offer pupillage opportunities at the firm and internships to top students.

A&K firmly believes in its obligation to contribute to the development of our society, and hope that we can make a positive impact on the legal education and practice of law in Kenya and across Africa. Through our collaboration with Strathmore, we reaffirm our commitment to giving back and raising the bar for quality legal services across the continent.  There is a direct link between the Rule of Law and social and economic progress and A&K hopes that the partnership with Strathmore will be a further step in the development of the rule of law in Kenya.
As A&K looks forward to a mutually beneficial relationship with Strathmore Law School, we are excited and extremely proud of what the University has achieved and of the future potential of its students. We encourage other organizations to engage with and actively support Strathmore and other law schools towards improving legal standards and excellence in the legal profession.
